about me

Matt spent his undergraduate years studying at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania achieving a degree in Electronic Media. Some of the classes he attended include video post-production, video field and studio production, and audio production. He also participated in the digital editing workshop where he was able to work with other student producers and shooters in "real world" situations, developing television programming for Service Electric Cablevision. Matt has been trained on the most recent versions of Final Cut Studio and Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Premiere, Dreamweaver, and Encore.  His knowledge of PC and MAC platforms gives him the ability to be flexible in any workspace.

With this knowledge, he interned at Shooters Post and Transfer, a state of the art post-production facility in Philadelphia, PA.  At this full time internship, Matt primarily worked as an assistant editor in the engineering room. He also provided reliable support to directors, producers and coordinators with tape logging, data gathering, and media filing.  He was fortunate enough to able to collaborate with editors and graphic designers on various projects ranging from simple cuts to intricate motion designs. Colleagues shared their expertise and shaped Matt’s development of field techniques in the studio and also on the set, assisting field crew on various commercial shoots.

Matt’s hobbies have also played an essential role in his field experience.  A drum set player and percussion performer, his musicianship has given him the opportunity for freelance work since graduation. He maintains a strong leadership role as a marching band and indoor percussion instructor to high school students; enabling him the ability to communicate ideas to a group of adolescents and adults in several different ways.  Matt was also a snare drummer in the Reading Buccaneers Drum & Bugle Corps; a five time consecutive DCA World Champion organization based in Reading, Pennsylvania.  Through his five years involvement in the ensemble, he has created several web promos as well as an ongoing series of DVDs entitled “Bucs Beats,” utilizing techniques of editing, effects, DVD authoring, and cover and packaging design.

Currently employed at Dynamic Digital Advertising in Southampton, Pennsylvania, Matt has been able to expand his skills as a digital video artist in a fast-moving, state-of-the-art digital design and production facility. Bringing his knowledge from various free-lance projects, Matt has developed and collaborated ideas with other talented supportive digital artists, graphic designers, photographers, internet marketing specialists, web designers, flash programmers, copywrighters and 3D animators.
