Boldly Forward — named after Shift4’s company motto, which is emblazoned across the company’s headquarters lobby — is a branded documentary film that captures the spirit of relentless momentum that defines both the business and its founder. My team collaborated closely with Shift4’s marketing department to coordinate 18 interviews across four shoot days in Pennsylvania and Florida, carefully selecting a cast of storytellers whose personal journeys mirrored the company’s evolution from startup to IPO and beyond. Working from a detailed company timeline, we developed a thematic chapter structure and crafted tailored interview prompts to draw out candid reflections on innovation, leadership, and transformation.

Production unfolded over five fast-paced days: four dedicated to interviews in Center Valley, Miami, and Naples, and one devoted to aerial cinematography. Our drone pilot captured sweeping golden-hour footage of the Center Valley campus, symbolizing legacy and transition. One of the film’s standout settings was Shift4’s “Moon Room,” a visually arresting space featuring a massive lunar wall print and cratered rug — a fitting backdrop to the film’s space-themed narrative arc and Jared Isaacman’s journey beyond Earth.

Post-production was an extensive editorial process weaving together over a dozen narratives into a cohesive, emotionally resonant story. We combined new interviews with archival content — photos and footage from Shift4’s brand history and prior Skynine productions — while threading mission-based language and metaphors of flight, space, and legacy throughout. The result was three distinct versions: an Event Cut for Jared Isaacman’s private celebration, a Full-Length Cut for internal and legacy use, and a Personalized Cut featuring farewell messages from the team — a heartfelt tribute encapsulating Shift4’s spirit of boldness, gratitude, and forward motion.
